Migrant songbirds, herons, and shorebirds. Bring footwear appropriate for wet trails. Meet at sign on Bark Haul and Pondside Roads in Longmeadow at 7:30 a.m.  Janet Orcutt 732-2412

7 Sat.     Newburyport & Plum Island - Full Day
Shorebirds, ducks, hawks, and egrets. Meet in the commuter lot behind McDonald’s near Turnpike entrance in Ludlow at 6:30 a.m.

14 Sat.      Hawkwatch & Picnic on Blueberry Hill - 9 to 3
Joint hawkwatch and picnic with Hoffmann Bird Club. Bring your favorite main dish, side dish, or dessert to share. To get there go west on Rte 57 and turn right onto North Ln, 4 miles past the center of Granville. Go 1.4 miles and turn right to reach a small unpaved parking lot. A full spectrum of migrant species. Make reservations at the Cape Harbor Motor Inn (609-884-0018) as early as possible. Meet in parking lot of Brigantine Division of Forsythe NWR at 10:00 a.m. Friday. The refuge is east off Rte. 9 just before Smithville (take Exit 44 of Garden State Parkway and contin ue south on Rte. 9). Notify leader if you plan to go.

Migrant sparrows and hawks. Meet in the commuter parking lot off Rte. 9 (Old Ferry Hill Rd.), 1/2 mile west of Exit 19 off I-91 at 7:30 a.m.
